An honest look

Is EnduranceNodes worth it? The good, the bad, and who it's not for

This isn't a review: we're the company. It's what we'd tell a friend asking whether to host with us, including the parts that might send them somewhere else.

Who we are

I'm Juan, and I run EnduranceNodes from Ecuador. I've played Minecraft for about ten years and spent four of them running servers, two on my own, EnderCraft. EnduranceNodes is the hosting I wished I'd had back then. I still look after the machines, the code and the support myself. The whole story is here.

That size is both our strength and our limit, and you'll see both below.

What we do well

  • Hardware you can name. Every plan runs on an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X with DDR5 ECC memory and Gen4 NVMe in RAID 1. No premium tier hides better machines. Full spec sheet.
  • The same price per GB on every plan, from 1 GB to 32 GB. Upgrades are prorated, so you never pay twice for the same days.
  • DDoS protection included, always on, on every plan.
  • Online in about a minute after paying, with a Pterodactyl panel, SFTP, a plugin installer, backups and databases.
  • Public uptime: anyone can check the node's status and its 30-day history.
  • A person answers. Tickets and a Discord run by the founder, in English, Spanish or French.
  • Low risk to try: a 24-hour free trial with no card, a 72-hour refund on your first purchase and free migration from your current host.

Where we fall short

Every host has trade-offs. These are ours, said plainly:

LimitWhat it means for you
One locationOur node is in Beauharnois, Québec. Great for the Americas; from Europe, ping is around 80–110 ms. Check yours.
A small teamYou talk to the person who built it, but there's no 50-person support floor behind them.
No full setupsWe keep the hardware, network and panel running, and we help with small things like a plugin that won't start. Complex or dedicated configurations of your server aren't something we do.
No free subdomainPlayers connect with the server's address and port, or with your own domain if you point one at it.
A young companyWe don't have a decade of history yet. The status page and the trial are how we ask for your trust.

Who EnduranceNodes is for (and who it isn't)

A good fit

  • Your players are in North or Latin America
  • You want a fast CPU you can name, at a fair price
  • SMPs, plugin servers and modpacks up to 32 GB
  • You're comfortable configuring your own server

Probably not for you

  • Your players are mostly in Europe or Asia and ping is critical
  • You want someone to set up and run the game side for you
  • You need more than 32 GB on a single server
  • You need to choose between several locations

How we compare with other Minecraft hosts

On paper, here is our 8 GB plan next to the 8 GB plans of other popular hosts, with the prices and specs each one lists:

ProviderPrice /moCPUSingle-threadRAMStorage
EnduranceNodesHades plan$12.00$1.50 per GBAMD Ryzen 7 9700X4,6518 GB DDR570 GB NVMe
Sparked Host$20.72$2.59 per GBAMD Ryzen 9 79004,1248 GB DDR590 GB NVMe
Bloom.host$18.00$2.25 per GBAMD Ryzen 9 3950X2,7458 GB DDR4120 GB NVMe
BisectHosting$23.99$3.00 per GBAMD Ryzen 5000 series~3,4008 GB DDR440 GB NVMe
Apex Hosting$27.99$3.50 per GBAMD Ryzen 5000 series~3,4008 GB DDR4“Unlimited”
Prices and specs as listed on each provider's site for their 8 GB plan. Single-thread scores are CPU benchmark ratings for the listed processor. All of them include DDoS protection.

The table favours us on price per GB and single-thread score, and we picked those columns because they're what Minecraft needs. It doesn't show location, support quality or how full each host's machines are, so weigh those too.

Alternatives, if we're not the right fit

If you need…Look at
Low ping in EuropeA host with nodes in Europe, ideally close to your players
Someone to run the server for youManaged hosting, or a developer you hire to build your setup
Free, for a quick testAternos, with its limits (our comparison)
Full control of the machineA VPS or a dedicated server, if you're comfortable with Linux

If you remember one thing

Worth it if your community plays from the Americas and you value a fast, named CPU, included DDoS protection and a person behind support, at the same price per GB on every plan. Not the right host if you need European ping, a managed setup or more than 32 GB.

Questions people ask

Yes. It's a real company run by its founder from Ecuador, with public terms, a public status page and customer reviews on Trustpilot. You can test it free for 24 hours.

On one node, BHS-01, in Beauharnois, Québec, Canada.

Yes: your first purchase has a 72-hour money-back guarantee. After that, outages are compensated with service time under the SLA.

Support speaks Spanish, and ping from Mexico and Colombia is around 70–85 ms, fine for any kind of server. Further south it rises, so test it on the latency page.

Free hosts like Aternos for quick tests, European hosts if your players are in Europe, managed hosting if you don't want to configure anything, or a VPS for full control.

About this article: It comes from what I have learned running EnduranceNodes, and it is published here first. We sell Minecraft hosting, so everything I say about us can be checked on this site, and I point out where we are not the best fit.
