Getting your friends connected

Getting Started Reviewed September 6, 2026 1 min read

Your server is reachable from anywhere the moment it starts. There is no port forwarding, no router setup and no LAN — everything your friends need is the address and a matching client.

What to do

  1. Send them the address exactly as the panel shows it

Including the port if it is not 25565. Copy and paste beats typing it out.

  2. Tell them which version to use

Their client version has to match the server, or they get Outdated client or Outdated server. Version, not edition — Java and Bedrock are different games.

  3. If you turned on the whitelist, add them

whitelist add TheirUsername in the console, using their exact Minecraft name.

How to confirm it worked

They appear in the console with a joined the game line, and list in the console shows them online.

Worth knowing

You do not need to keep your own computer on. The server runs on our node, not on your machine, so it stays up whether you are playing or asleep.
