Is it the right size?
What Cobalt can run
A good starting point for
- A busy community of around 25–35 players
- A heavier set of mods on the server
- A world already explored far in every direction
- A public server that's starting to grow
Where it falls short
- Public servers with 50+ players
- View distance well past the recommended 12 chunks
- Running out of memory and adding more mods on top
Opening it to the public? Adamantite is the first community plan, with twelve gigabytes and four vCores.

Past a certain size, a Hytale server is no longer about one group: it's players doing their own thing all over the map at once. Ten gigabytes keeps those areas loaded without the server running short.
It's also the plan for heavier mod sets. If you're not sure whether you need it, start on Thorium: moving to a bigger plan later keeps your files and your world.
