Banned players are stored in bans.json, in the server folder. Bans you apply in game are written there by the server.
Removing a ban by hand
- Stop the server
So your edit isn't overwritten.
- Open
bans.jsonFind the player's entry in the file manager or over SFTP.
- Delete the entry carefully
Remove the whole entry and keep the JSON valid: watch the commas between entries.
- Start the server
The player can join again.
Write down why
Keep a short note of who was banned and why (a Discord channel works). It makes appeals and staff changes much easier.
