Connection & updatesYou can give your server a name like play.yourdomain.com instead of an IP. On Hytale there's one difference from Minecraft: SRV records aren't supported.
Setting it up
- Find the server's IP
It's shown on the panel's console page, next to the port.
- Create an A record
In your domain's DNS settings, point a name (for example
play) to that IP. - Wait for DNS
Changes usually take from a few minutes to a few hours to spread.
- Connect with the name and port
Players type
play.yourdomain.com:port. If your port is 5520, the default, the name alone is enough.
On Minecraft, an SRV record hides the port. The official manual says SRV records are not supported by Hytale for now and that Hypixel is evaluating them, so the port stays visible unless it's 5520.
