- Being Hytale friends with the other player lets the game use its relay when a direct connection doesn't work.
- Friend coordination needs outbound UDP port 3478 to be allowed on your network.
- CGNAT and double NAT can stop friends from connecting to a world hosted at home.
With a hosted server
Players connect to the server's address in our data centre. Your home IP is never involved, and the world stays online when your PC is off.
