Errors & fixesA Hytale server in authenticated mode has to be linked to a Hytale account with /auth login device. Most problems come down to a few cases.
- The code stopped working
- Device codes expire after 900 seconds (15 minutes). Run
/auth login deviceagain and use the new code right away at accounts.hytale.com/device. - How do I know it worked?
- The console shows «Authentication successful! Mode: OAUTH_DEVICE».
- Players can't join and the console mentions authentication
- The server isn't linked yet, or the link was lost. Repeat the login.
- Is there a limit?
- According to the official manual, each Hytale license can authenticate up to 500 servers.
Worth knowing
Don't switch to offline mode to skip this: in offline mode the server doesn't verify players' accounts.
