Errors & fixes«Lag» can mean two different things: the server struggling to keep up, or a slow connection between a player and the server. The fix depends on which one it is.
Which kind?

| Everyone lags at the same time | The server (memory or CPU) |
| Only one player lags | That player's connection |
| It gets worse as players spread out | Memory: too much world loaded |
| It gets worse around big farms or crowds | CPU: too many entities |
Server lag: what to try
- Lower the view distance; it's the biggest RAM driver.
- Check memory and CPU in the panel during the lag.
- Remove mods you don't use.
- Reduce crowds of NPCs and mobs.
- If it still happens on normal evenings, move to a bigger plan.
