Getting startedYour server's address and port are shown in the panel next to your server. Players add that address and port in the game's Servers menu and connect.
Joining for the first time
- Copy the address and port from the panel
They appear on your server's page in the panel, written as
address:port. - Open Servers in Hytale
From the main menu, go to Servers and add the server with that address and port.
- Connect
If the server asks for authentication first, see the article on authenticating your server: until that is done, players cannot join.
Why the port matters
Hytale uses the QUIC protocol over UDP, not TCP, and its default port is 5520. On a hosted server each server gets its own port, so always use the one shown in the panel rather than assuming 5520.
Domain names with SRV records (so players can skip the port) are not supported by Hytale yet: the official manual lists them as under evaluation. If you point a domain at your server, players still type the port.
